They are only going to hurt themselves if they are only considered about profit and don't care about legitimate subscribers experience.
The predicted recession is really going to hurt some of these Onlyfans guys, who have only lived through relatively speaking benign times in terms of economic growth. Especially those whose client base is mainly the US or UK as they seem likely to experience the economic upcoming pain slightly worse.I think some of them have become complacent or overconfident and the recession will serve as a shakeout , wake up call and abrupt corrective.

I know some believe online porn ie the subscriber to porn creator system is recession proof but I disagree.Time will tell who is right.

So, has there been any work around? I can't see this function being totally unbreakable.
I think it's absurd that they still haven't created something to get around this situation, because there are even software to recreate videos and speeches of dead people. it shouldn't be so hard to create some tool to crack this stupid DRM

You guys gotta realize that this feature predates Onlyfans they are simply late to adopting it. I mentioned previously in the other thread that this has been around for years and it won’t be an easy fix. DRM has been used for many sites similar to OF but most notably streaming platforms such at Netflix, Hulu & more to prevent pirating. It’s something far more advanced than previous minor measures they have created to prevent pirating. So it isn’t gonna be a few month fix sitch. Otherwise previous sites/platforms that had the feature would’ve been compromised years ago. Only way to work around it currently is advanced methods or tedious ones that honestly make it personally for me not worth it. As sad as it it I’m still counting it a blessing that it’s a toggle. And that they didn’t make it like other sites where it isn’t even a choice for creators. They all have DRM on their videos permanently.

Hulu and Netflix aren't even invincible. Their shows are all over the Internet. So, like I said, this function should not be this hard to break through if Netflix and Hulu aren't.

Boycotting or unsubscribing from particular performers creators is probably the most effective way available to cause a change.
If a pub or restaurant always gave you short measures or an unsatisfactory experience then you'd be a fool to keep on frequenting them as a customer.

There’s 2 issues here. No one said Hulu and Netflix aren’t invincible. He said the known methods to get around DRM are time consuming and tedious. I’ve looked into it before, it’s a lot of steps and often involved coding, which not everyone knows how to do.

The people who do it to Hulu and Netflix have more of an incentive. They can either get paid by a website they sell it to or they are employed to do it. For us, it’s just more vids to jerk off to. Most people within that group will not want to put in the effort/time for just another vid to get off to. No one is getting paid on here.

So, my question was "is there a workaround?" Tedious or not, there is, so that's the answer to my question. No one said it is a new concept beginning Onlyfans either. And no one is getting paid to put Stranger Things or Ozark full videos and clips on YouTube or Dailymotion.

I agree. I have no reason to subscribe to these pages if I can't enjoy the quality on and offline. The true difference between an Onlyfans and Netflix is that once you are subscribed to Netflix, you have thousands of content to watch at your on convenience vs subscribing per content creator for a cost and most likely have to deal with PPV. A quick jerk off is never that serious. Thank goodness for this thread because not only is the Onlyfans model a scam (thanks to the content creators), but its popularity is clearly going to run its course soon.

…people literally get paid to pirate content. Are you new here?

Well, not everyone. A lot of people pirate for their own personal reasons that have nothing to do with money. But that's neither here nor there. My question wasn't about that, but it was sort of answered. And no need to be condescending. Take that somewhere else.

Anyway, again, thanks for this thread. Saves me a lot of money. This + plus the PPV after paying for a subscription nonsense is good enough for me to take heed.

That’s literally what I said. People, us, don’t get paid and don’t have as much incentive to do it because the process is too much work. Your question was about that because the full answer to “is there a workaround?” involves knowing there is a workaround, but it’s an annoying process and not many people on this site are willing to go through that. That’s what we’re trying to explain to you. And knowing the nuance of how pirating works/it’s history also helps give context to that answer because it seems like you don’t understand that.
