I totally understand open relationships. This seems different. I mean this guy is posting very raunchy sex tapes with loads of different guys while his BF sits over there mute. He’s a sex worker, and like all the sex workers and porn stars before him they are likely to be in relationships with people who may not be in the industry.
If sex work is a primary means of financial income for him, then it’s something they need to come to terms with to be together. Jake was doing this before they met, for all we know it’s how they met.
The BF is an adult and he made his decisions to enter into the relationship and continues to make the decision to stay. Whatever it is that they’ve worked out here it obviously works for them. There are no victims here.
Instead of questioning someone’s open relationship and how it can happen, better to question the price of higher education and why it leaves some students with the only option to turn to sex work to pay for it.
