I know that the moderators have said that they do not want debates about sexuality in this thread. I know there have been times when it has gone on for pages and become quite combative, so they put a stop to it. I think that this thread is intended for content, and sexuality discussions belong elsewhere.
As far as moderation goes, most of the moderation comes from members reporting the posts. So it would depend on who reads the individual thread and makes the report. Not all reports mean it's removed though, that is up to the moderators to make the decision. And that is site-wide, not just this thread.
Perhaps @LPSG Support can answer your questions. I know you can DM them. They've always responded to me and are professional about it. The moderating team here really is good, but I can imagine moderation on a site this size is quite daunting.
