Pretty sure the twinks aren’t the reason people are watching. They’re both quite forgettable characters especially with the other stories ongoing in the show, and their characters aren’t doing anything to note at the moment.

Probably not all viewers of course but I think they’re more valuable than you’re saying. Hollyoaks is the soap that relies the most on a younger audience and these two are the most popular young characters seemingly based on how many tiktok edits I see of them.

It is the actress' decision to leave. She just wants to move on and try other things. I think Ste will stay with the show, and Lucas will be around a little while longer.

I wouldn't read anything into her leaving to imply anything about him. She's grown up on the show, so it's reasonable for her to want to try something different. Once her contract is up, there's nothing they can do to force her to stay regardless of what their larger plans are.

At some point, Oscar is going to have the choice whether to stay or leave, but I expect it to be his choice for a while since he's playing a legacy character and has done a good job with the material they've given him.
