I believe they are getting divorced. Probably not this year. 2026...Being married means building a deeper relationship with each others. Sex with your spouse is also part of that relationship. When you have sex with others, then you are not fulfilled with your relationship. So sex with others is escapism. Eventually at least one person in the relationship realises that he is not being fulfilled, and better off alone. This is not everybody though and I don't want to generalise. I doubt they earn enough money to get divorced. What would they do? Move into a house share at almost 40?
They will do what most couples do which is stay together so they can split rent, have someone to go on holidays with and not be lonely but essentially do what they want and sleep with who they like.
