Paul Mescal From Hulu's Normal People

I just don't get American humour in the slightest. Or at least SNL humour. Lol.

I know, it's stupid. But Americans, specially middle America, kill for SNL.

It's moronic, tone deaf, repetitive, all guests end up reading scripts and you can tell, I hate it.

I like to think that she insisted on being the one to stand. She’s so it rn and he’s on the come up. It just makes sense. I used to hate on her because of the video of her saying she hates Americans but now I just get it

Paul didn't get a Golden Globe nod for Gladiator II but tbh, was anyone expecting him to?
I don't think so, his name has not really come up in awards talk for the past couple weeks and most reviews didn't seem to find him the highlight of the film unfortunately, way more buzz about Denzel (who did get nominated)

He'll get a future for something else. Maybe The History Of Sound?
The lead in a big epic scale movie doesn't tend to get acting noms unless the movie is just a runaway darling of the awards season like the original Gladiator.

Not that I think Paul was robbed or anything, but he was basically out of it as soon as 2 didn't have overwhelming and enthusiastic reception.
