Pedro Pascal

Yes those that allow coddling to happen are part of the problem. Idk what you're arguing for
It pains me to say this but there are more of them than there are more of us, Hollywood's biggest market isn't even in the Americas, it's Asia and it's a very homophobic continent compared to the Americas and that's a fact, also it's not called the movie business for nothing, investors have to make their money back

Just say the majority is straight and they want to see themselves in movies than gay people. It is all fantasy so an out gay man will not be considered for a leading man role that pays big money.

Exactly people who say it’s 2024 the world is different he should come out. Wake up we are backtracking!

I’m not gonna knock him for not coming out if he doesn’t want to it’s his choice especially because he’s NOT hiding anything. It’s so obvious and if the general public is to dumb to pick it up then that’s their fault. Like anyone else on here he has to make a living and currently unfortunately of he came out I think it would ruin him. He’s not codling up to anything. ITS HIS CHOICE
You can make excuses and explain away how the system works to y'all hearts desire but I'm unsure why. I only said it's a shame and isn't right that we have to. Y'all are acting in hard defense of the system of oppression like your excuses make it okay. It doesn't I don't get why everyone is making argumentive post on something that is a feeling that should be universal amongst us. Its not right it is what it is and it's not going to change because capitalism

With how not just the US but the entire world is swaying right this era, I doubt him or any closeted queer A lister will come out, that will literally be career suicide and Hollywood isn't to blame, it's the world, Hollywood is just responding to the homophobia the world has
The entire world isn’t “swaying right,” it’s mostly just the west. Lots of places in the global south are moving further and further left (if they’re not being coupled, like Peru was recently).

No one is making excuses for the system we all don’t agree with the way things are. Duh! Point is if the man doesn’t want to come out the closet and admit he’s queer to the public but his friends and family know he is because he wants to get his coin fine.

My god, why are we bringing up politics : unamused:
The ppl who posted explained it. It is not fair for you to take it out of context. Simply put, ppl are saying there is increased homophobic now and this has impact for actors and the film industry. A lot of this is in part due to the shift by the general public to less progressive thinking. For Pedro, if he is bi, it would not be in his interest to come out as it would impact his ability to book film roles. To take such a nuanced discussion ppl are having and to break it down to politics is unfair and disingenous. There is nothing wrong with ppl commenting on the realities gay actors face in the business of Hollywood with the changes in the world now.

Has there ever been any actor like Pedro who has been so obviously queer without saying the words? I really admire what a thin line he walks…like to me he is as out as you can be without saying it.
He should come out. We need as much visibility as possible right now.

Comments like these are just..........
As long as it pertains to Pedro, it will be discussed here, I don't like people talking about his movie politics, which role is right or wrong for him but I skip those, if you don't like it, simply ignore it, geez
