We usually start small with my Aneros Vibe while we 'play around' for a while, then step it up to a bigger one like in your link. By then, I'm usually asking to 'get the big one' because I'm ready to feel a more full and thick pegging.

My current collection of toys. The one in the harness is the Vixen Vixskin. The soft outer REALLY helps with the pronounced head. The Silk one is the black one at the top. It's a large I believe. This one is great for those starting out as it slides in so nice.

The prices are about right I think. I do see nowadays some 100% silicone out there for a lot cheaper than when we started down this road a few years ago.
I think a lot of folks are hesitant to spend a lot on a good dildo. When I started out we bought a couple PVC (cheap) ones. I can say the higher end ones are way worth it. I've not bought any since as these seem to do the job. I can say that after finally bottoming a couple times now with other guys... The dual density are VERY close to the real thing.
