Peyton Meyer - New

Wow, I mean, glad he's working but to do a soap is definitely a step down for him.
With respect I completely disagree. I’ve said it before, there is nothing wrong with starting in a soap opera. Soap acting is legitimate acting. As a lifelong soap watcher I know the level of talent and skill it takes to act in a soap. Can you imagine doing 80 pages of dialogue with little or no rehearsal. I think it’s a testament to him as an actor that he was cast. Soap acting is not a step down. In fact he should get more recognition and exposure from Day Of Our Lives.

I don’t know if he’s been a part of the cast, but Leo Howard is in the preview too. It’s cool to see Peyton booked though
Leo Howard has been on the cast for a while.

Not really. His last role was 2021's He's All That, so I doubt he was being looked for or wanted. lmao. And soap is good training ground to increase your talents. I'm so tired of people turning their noses down on soap operas and soap actors.

In a way though it is history repeating itself......Kirsten Storms went from Disney's Xenon to Days of Our Lives and now Peyton is going from Disney to Days too.
Except, different kind of way. Kirsten Storms' Zenon aired in the same year she joined Days of Our Lives, and she did multiple different projects prior to both.

I would never insult soaps. I have been a soap watcher all my life. Days is pretty awful now and has been since the 90's. and if you work in entertainment, going from primetime to daytime is still considered a bad career move. not impossible to overcome but it's not a good sign for him.

as a european, my understanding of american soap operas is that it's really no different than being on hallmark christmas movies. you do it because it's the only work you can get, not the work you wanna do

He posted an IG story at Sabrina’s show 🥰 if I were Sabrina, I’d get with Peyton- he and Barry both have a kid, so I feel like that wouldn’t faze her 😂 but Peyton is religious, and I don’t think she is idk

Peyton Meyer has joined the cast of “Days of our Lives” in the newly created role of Doug Williams III, the grandson of the late Doug Williams (played by the late Bill Hayes). His first airdate is set for Tuesday, December 3.

Fans first got a glimpse of Meyer earlier this month when he appeared in the “Day of Days” sneak peek highlighting what’s to come on the daytime drama series this season.

In an interview with TV Insider, Meyer describes his character as a “mischievous” young man, similar to how the first Doug Williams was introduced in 1970. “He’s in and out of trouble. No matter where he goes, chaos comes with him. He’s not purposefully mischievous or purposefully wishes harm on people,” Meyer notes. “I think it’s just how he grew up, that everything he does ends up causing a bad karmic chaos storm behind him.
