Ummm...society puts people into categories and treats people accordingly (to how it believes a certain group should be treated). My maternal grandmother was a white-passing biracial woman. She didn't have any black features at all. People outside our family assumed she was white -- even other black people. Whenever we were out, people would ask, "How do you know her?" I'd say, "She's my grandmother." People would be shocked. I'd then explain that -- even though she looks white, she's biracial. Now, she had two other brothers. They looked mixed (like Phat Daddy and his brother).

The question they always got was, "What are you mixed with?" My point is that biracial people don't have the same lived experience as people who are more obviously black -- and they will tell you think. Case and point. The porn star Alex Jones (black/white) has talked about how racist the porn industry is and how he is asked the play people from cultures that he knows nothing about (like Latin/Hispanic or Arabic).
