This is a sunset view from Wiggins Pass, where the Cocohatchee River in southwest Florida empties into the Gulf of Mexico. When conditions permit (which is most of the time), we kayak a couple of kilometers to the pass to watch the sunset and the full moon rise. It’s a somewhat popular spot for watercraft to view sunsets, with only the occasional kayaker. Sunsets from the Paradise Coast are generally spectacular, and this one was no exception.
