if anyone is curious, the last pic is the Fireworks Galaxy (or NGC 6946). it's a spiral galaxy 22 million light years away from earth. and recently, nasa took an image of the galaxy 'exploding' with green lights, which were intense x-ray lights, likely from a black hole or neuron star tearing apart a nearby star system!
