Photo of the day !!

Coywolf of Eastern Seaboard US and Canada is a hybrid of coyote and wolf. They are larger, taller and faster than a large dog and are very powerful. The ones roaming near my house are cream colored and they hunt in packs of 6 to 7. They prey on dogs, deer, turkeys and foxes. I have had them come within 20 feet of me and ignore me, thank goodness.

Left: The cempedak (chempedak was the old spelling system in Malaysia that changed in 1970's) is delicious as it is. I also like it dipped in batter and fried. Crunchy on the outside, fragrant and soft in the inside, it is heavenly.

The fruit on the right may be a precursor to the present day durian. There are two varieties, this golden orange type, and the other has a deep red flesh. Yes, it as the Tutti Frutti article described, it tastes like peanut butter. But I still prefer my durian.
