I used to, and then it occured to me that they put themselves out there to be admired and remembered. Not all of them were desparate for cash, and even many of those who were must have wanted to be remembered if they kept going back and if they interacted with fans. Yes it was about the money, but they were humans. Humans, most of us, want to be thought of fondly.
There are only two performers whose porn I can no longer enjoy: Alexander Gustavo and Erik Rhodes. Both of them let us, the fans, in on a quasi-personal level. I followed Erik's blog on Tumblr, the good and sad. Alexander was REALLY nice to me on Snapchat, nice to me as a fan, but just very warm and responsive. He was a real joy! I sometimes get sad seeing him on Twitter or one of the porn tubes. For the others, and even with Alexander and Erik, I feel like they should be remembered for their triumphs and not their tragedy. Tucking them away with their death is focusing on the part of their life that hurt them the most. For those who made multiple films and wanted to win the awards, remembering them fondly is the greatest reward. So, I still remember them and enjoy their old content. Except for Alexander. Still getting over that.
Just my 10 cents.
