Agreed. A few have made some strides this year, but, yeah, the last couple years... I'm not sure what the metrics are now for Next Gen. Funny thing, I think Carlos is still eligible since he's only 21 (unless it's for under 21?), but...

If you’ve really kept up with tennis this past year you should probably know more than one of these guys. However, most of the best players 21 or younger are already top players and probably don’t feel the need to participate in this. While most guys don’t want to participate in “Next Gen” beyond one year even if they’re eligible again. I’m slightly surprised Fils is there.

The “Next Gen” movement/promo has died down since we’ve recently seen a teenager and a guy in his early 20s winning a couple majors and getting to number 1. The point of “Next Gen” was to get more focus on the younger guys since back then the tour was dominated by dudes in their late 20s and older.

I want to see what Jerry Shang looks like in a few years once he grows out of his kiddie face.
