If you're curious, try trimming. Or try shaving and as it grows back, see if there's a length that you like. It's just hair. It grows back. No need to over think it.

On the subject of pubic hair there was a guy I came across in 1997 who died his pubic hair pink to match his pink hair also died. I met him at Breaker Bay. I never managed to get him to explain it to me. His did make some awfully good coffee on the beach though. This was in September, not the best time for getting naked and the wind howled. It was marginal at the best. There soon were four of us, having coffee. sheltering as best we could: a young man who seemed interesting to me, just passing; and an older man interested in him, then me, without pubes wearing a hat with a neck flap for sunburn, and a periodic erection, up and down, up and down, talking complete nonsense as if that is what you did; me with pubes and the guy with pink pubes making the coffee. The young guy had the sense to move on quickly. I was enjoying the ridiculousness of it all but soon had enough wanting to maintain my credibility and made my farewell.

One thing that I have picked up from attending events and festivals where nudity is an option and welcomed is that males are generally not shaved. Some women, naked at the site, in the day, did shave, but by and large there were more shaved women than shaved males. At the last festival I was at most ran around the Man after it was burned, naked, that was 600-700 mainly young people, 25-40 age group, in that crowd, I saw very few shaved. Also few genital tattoos, plenty of tattoos elsewhere on the body, but one in the pubic area was rare.
