If you go to Podoli... take time to understand the crazy pricing. You don't just pay a fee and stay as long as you like. There's a time limit...sometimes. However sometimes there's a special if you are in during a certain time you can stay unlimited. example: in by 4pm you can stay unlimited. In a 4:05 pm you have to pay by the hour...if you go over you must pay more to get out.
It's the same at other Prague pools as well.
Just take a bit of time to research the pricing plans at each pool and avoid an bad surprise at the end.
Also...just consider who has free time during the time you're visiting. During the day... retired people...kids after school, moms with kids... From 5pm...adults after work...
Podoli tends to have fewer kids as there is no play area / water park.
Sutka is a nicer modern facility. There's lots of kids. there are various pricing plans... lap pool, lap pool + water park, then you can also add on the sauna with a mandatory sheet rental.
At both place the staff speaks limited English so it may help to have what you want translated on your phone .. "1 Adult for just the pool for 3 hours" or something like that.
I would suggest Podoli if you're looking for a massive naked experience. Pool entry includes indoor and outdoor pools, there's a giant hot tub outside, theres a massive naked shower area that includes a 2 room steam room seating around 20+ guys. It's also quite easy to take the tram from the Old town area.
Both facilities use coded wrist bands for entry / exit and paying overtime fees. the band also locks / unlocks your locker. There are scanners on the walls to check how much time you have left.
If you get to Munich... be sure to try the Olympic Pool.
Also in Germany the gyms have massive "relax" areas....sauna / steam / showers .... they are naked areas or textile free. Body and Soul Mitte Munich is quite nice. the Olympic Pool has a sauna for an extra fee thats nice. Holmes Place Gyms in Berlin are excellent...next to the Hilton on Mohenstr. and at New World Neukoln.
