If you use Chrome, another option is to just keep letting the windows open. When you've had enough if you right-click the tab you are trying to watch/download the last option available is "Close tabs to the right" and it clears them all. Still annoying but makes quick work of the open tabs unless they opened in a new window.

Honestly I use Opera Gx, for me the best, I installed this extension and it fixed it, it doesn't open ANY window for me, on the home page you have to click 1 to activate the box and another for the window to solve to come up, it sends you to the one that has the counter with the 10 seconds there you just have to move the cursor, you don't have to click, now once the counter finishes you click on it and it sends you to the bottom of the page and you click only 1 click on the green tab, it takes you to another similar counter and repeat and then to the last one where you activate with 1 click, another one to solve, click and that's it streamtape.....
