Rhett from SCM

There's a huge difference between Rhett and Dean (and I don't mean the size of their penis'-although Dean has nothing on Rhett there either- I'm not saying that to be mean just stating a fact). Rhett is a 18 yo kid who is in it solely for the money. He sees it as a fast way to buy 'toys' (he bought a BMW not too long after starting-which he can't drive right now for some reason that a foolish 18 yo would get himself into trouble). He continues to do so for that reason because he has bought into the fact it is an easy way to make significant money fast and believes the owner of SCM is his 'friend' for paying him so much. It is obvious that he isn't into what he is doing by the way he reacts (even when it was obvious the guys were all drunk during the shoot in the house boat he looked like he was going to lose it when he swallowed his first load). I do not see Rhett as making a lasting 'business' out of this. I could be wrong.
Dean on the other hand has made this his business. He may have been initially into it at SCM for the money, but when he realized he could do better on his own and that the owner of SCM was raking in the dough, he wanted that for himself. So, while I would not want to compare him to that guy, he is essentially doing at his own site what was happening to him at SCM. Do you think he pays the 'performers' there the same as he pays himself? I doubt it. More power to him. He has created this fantasy world over at his site where he is hoping that many of the new customers will not look into his past at SCM by telling them he is doing certain things "for the first time' that he had done plenty of times at SCM.
Now while I am sure there are many people that followed him to his own site from SCM (which I am sure he promoted that), I also believe he was banking on many of his new customers to believe he was a 'virgin' at man on man sex so as to rebuild he persona and capture a new audience willing to pay the money to see this 'str8' guy doing not so str8 things. If his member profile is accurate here at LPSG, then he considers himself 70% str8 and 30% gay. While I have my own opinions as too those % being much closer than that based on my belief that as his time went on at SCM he seemed to enjoy the sex more and more, I cannot fault a guy for wanting to make a buck. It is always better to work for yourself than for someone else.
So while Dean may have 'developed' a personality from his involvement in this business, I think that personality is part of him realizing that the friendly/happy/willing str8 guy is going to be more popular on whatever site he chooses to be on and will get much more business/money as a result of it. ( I have friends who live in Vegas and have seen him around and I will just leave it at that). That is where Dean has it over Rhett. Rhett is still too much of a newbie at this to realize that aspect of the business. He is still holding his own though in he is up for almost anything. I hope if he stays with SCM and decides to finally give up his cherry on camera that he socks the SCM owner for a bundle. I'm thinking Dean wishes he asked for more than he did his 'first' time.
So Dean if you are really reading the comments on this board--good for you at your new venture, but don't play the innocent victim here. It is a false veil. You got what you needed out of that experience (even if it wasn't as much as you realized you should have been getting) and eveyone else reading this-don't hate on me. I'm am not picking on Dean for where he is at, just pointing out he was at or near the same place as Rhett is now when he first started. They both have their places and are obvously serving a purpose or they wouldn't be as popular as they are.

But I don't think Dean's playing the innocent victim. Where do you get this idea of 'victim' from anyway?
 
all i said is that there were some reasons for leaving..pay not being one of them..........and as i said i'm not going into them....
 
I've liked Rhett from the start, but the guy keeps adding tattoos... If he keeps going his body is going to be covered. Plus I'm not sure he spends a lot of time working out; gradually his body seems less appealing...
 
I stand by my comments with the exception of removing the word 'innocent'. I understand there are issues on both sides and leaving was the only way to handle it for both parties. I just feel that it is sad that it got to the point that that had to happen. As well as some of the other popular guys who have hit hard times because of making bad choices. It did seem like the core group had a comaraderie going on and then all of a sudden???. Ashton seems to be doing his shoots out of some obligation (paying off a debt). His shoot with Rhett was horrible. Rhett just sat there-there was no connection-it was hard to watch. Rocky pops up every now and then. There are other rumours which I do not care to discuss because those people aren't around to defend themselves. Rhett has already lost a best friend (Erik) who initially helped him get away from the craziness at his high school after he first started doing the vids. Despite that they both continue to be a part of it (but not with each other).

I'm sure it is not the easiest busines to be a part of. My comments were just meant to say, that despite whatever did happen, Dean has come out of it in a 'better' place and has the control over what he does or doesn't do. Right now Rhett doesn't realize how much control he really has. So I felt the comparisons are like the proverbial apples and oranges at this point.

i see what you mean....but rhett i gonna have to get to know how little control he has as far as the sites goes.....he should state what he is willing to do and stand by IT....no matter what
 
dean your such an awsome guy! i would hope to meet you one day! screw scm anyways.. The whole reason I began to look at the site those years ago was beacuse of you. now they are hitting border line legal kids.. its sort of wierd. do you like what you are doing better now??
 
well dean, im kinda the same, you were always my favorite on scm and i still want to watch your videos, i watch them when ever i can because you are so good looking i cant help it, although that may freak you out a bit even though i bet you hear worse. I admire you for leaving and starting your own site but I havent had chance to look at it yet.

How'd that happen?

Is Rhett part asian? Apparently his last name is tattooed on the side of his torso and Soto sounds Japanese or something. He looks kind of asian too.

I finished watching the Erik/Rhett video and there were some very sweet moments in it. But it was mostly them playing around in the ball pit/ jump house and getting interviewed by Matt.

Erik talks about it briefly during his solo on the Tropical Retreat videos and again when he is paired up with Kevin. When Rhett first started gettiing envolved and it got spread around school Erik and him moved in with Erik's older brother in another town (supposedly far away). That's when Erik started getting involved. Erik did his solo vid and they talked about their fiendship on that one. Sounded like they were real good friends. Well I guess more people 'found' out at their new school and they transferred again. At the new place people were finding out too. I guess Erik now blames Rhett for talking about it to other people and he didn't think that was cool-so they have parted as friends. I do not know were the both live now.

Kevin has also moved a couple of times because of people finding out. As far as the rest of the 'group' all from the same school (Cole, Morris, Nathan) who did videos together I don't know where they have gone. Maybe they couldn't take the 'heat' of being semi-celebrities and have stopped. SCM's practice of releasing videos out of order sometimes confuses people as to when they were filmed. (i.e. many of the solo videos of this group of guys were released after they did the 6th anniversary shoot and the Tropical Retreat shoot). so you think they are still doing things for SCM but really hae stopped a while ago. Erik, Rhett and Kevin are still doing vids.

Now Rhett has brought in a new friend Spaulding. That vid was just released. I am looking foreward to seeing that. I have seen the preview. It is supposedly a solo by Spaulding but Rhett does makes a naked appearance and the teaser suggests more happens because Spaulding had asked when he was geetting ready to do the shoot what he waould have to do to earn more money.

I would like to see Rhett and Nathan do a vid together. In the6th Annivesary shoot when they were on the house boat and they were all in the bed together it was Nathan and Rhett who initiated the kissing. I know they were all drunk, but I could swear Nathan really enjoyed it. I could see (or wishful thinking?) the two of them taking these new vids to the next level if given the right (Cash) motive.

The part for me that makes it interesting is not because of their ages but that they all are/were real life friends who then went home and lived their normal everyday lives. It put wild thoughts into my head about the high school jocks walking the halls being the macho studs on campus, but then on the weekend they secretly make porno movies together!! Can you imagine what they must have felt the time after their first shoot together and then they saw each other in school on Monday morning walking the halls. How could their lives be anything but Chaos.! Now Kevin and Erik have done a vid together and Kevin used to date Erik's younger sister. Another fantasy of hookin up with your sister's hot boyfriend comes to life!

My question now is ..After the files are all joined into one video and I see it works, can I get rid of all the individual files or will the joined video not play if I delete them? Now that I finally got it working I don't want to start all over again. Thanks
 
it will continue to work if you get rid of the parts as the joined one is the data from the parts altogether
 
Thanks, Camper joe for the Spaulding video. I was hoping for a little more contact between Rhett and Spaulding-but maybe that's a teaser of what's to cum.
 
The Rhett-Nathan Watcher does look pretty hot, but once again SCM is 'foolin' with us. This was shot last summer after they got back from the 6th anniversary shoot. Rhett and Nathan didn't go home right away and SCM put them up in a hotel and got some more mileage out of them. It looked like they got on pretty well on the houseboat and I think the owner of SCM wanted to see how much farther they would go with each other and no one else around. Seems like tongues, but not much else in the 'netherlands'. Still will be hot to see because like I said they seemed to be pretty in to each other for str8 guys. It looked liked Nathan was the one to push the bondaries for them at that time which got all the other guys to open up a little more. So I was hoping once again for a little more from this, but I think Nathan is one of the guys who has dropped off from the initial HS crew. Maybe with enough people requesting it, SCM will offer him some big bucks to cum back and let him and Rhett really go at it this time!
