Richard Madden (Robb Stark in GOT)

He's likely too short to play Bond. Most of the guys who played Bond were pretty tall- I think Connery was like 6' 2" or 6" 3" and was a bodybuilder before he became an actor.

To be fair, at 5'9" Richard's only an inch shorter than Daniel Craig is and Daniel's height was never an issue while playing Bond. Granted, Daniel already had a broad and beefy build while Richard is more slender even when he's ripped (there's a reason why Richard is one of the only MCU lead actors who's never been accused of going on juice for his role) so their bodies look quite different even with similar heights, but still...

That l
The issue is not who he dates. The issue is his sexual orientation and his sudden desire for privacy when he's dating men.

Here's some pictures of Richard keeping his dating life private:

THat ladt picture with jenna was last year and she was pregnant!. They're still close friends.

Reminder: Richard was kissing Taron Egerton in "Rocketman". A couple of decades ago, that would have been a career-ender, too.

The belief that "out and in a relationship" will damage a career is changing as old guard agents and managers retire, but as long as celebs keep playing the closet game, it will never change.
Just look at Jonathab Bailey or Andrew Scott. Your career is your talent!, and Richard is very talented, his sexual orientations shouldn't be a problem. He needs a better team!

Well, it should be about talent.

Dwayne Johnson is a big box office draw but he's a terrible actor. Watch an old Tom Cruise movie (one of the ones that was hyped as "his biggest role yet"!).

The two men that you named were really good in "All of Us Strangers" and "Fellow Travelers" but neither project was seen by a enough people. It's likely to be one of those instances where in a few years, someone on social media will "discover" these shows and then they'll become hits. Until then, drink your milk.

Jonathan Bailey was also in Bridgerton, Crashing and more recently, Wicked.

Andrew was also in Fleabag (that won many awards) and also recently Ripley which is also up for awards this season.

So I’m trying to figure out why you are minimizing their impact right now.

U know what? Let's just ignore the mf troll and we all should put him in the ignore list. It's clear that he loves to play the victim and think the whole world hate gays and are not successful.

I think with Wicked, Bailey is right on the cusp of becoming the breakout A List/leading man openly gay actor we've been hoping for. If the new Jurassic Park movie is a big hit he'll probably have achieved it (particularly if his character in it is straight).

Madden would still be my top choice to cast as the next Bond, but I have the feeling that his big chance was about 5 years ago, and the producers have moved on to younger actors in the intervening years.
