RIP Queen Elizabeth II

It's lovely reading the positive words for the Queen. The impact she had and the admiration and love for her is unbelievable. Her funeral may be the biggest we see for many many years to come.

I ask that this thread be only positive thoughts. If you have something negative to say about the Queen or the Monarchy please take it to twitter or reddit.

Thank you.
RIP Ma'am ♥️

Not a royalist but you don't have to be to feel the general sombre atmosphere today in the UK. At the very least she was an incredibly dedicated woman and the face of our British culture. It feels very surreal. RIP.

thank you world and sky australia for kindly/genuinely acknowledging royalty's existence, and its place, including hms contribution
doubt any/many could command that respect
and am sure she never sought that role

am quite sure many asian/african,countries/people are affected by her passng as well
long live hms legacy
charles/wllam/george etc

This is the only Queen I've ever known and as a Canadian, I saw here every day of my life either in government buildings, stamps, our money, everywhere. Such a shock and really the unknown of the future is quite scary.

Rest In Peace, Your Majesty.

Rip Liz. Just a shame your last days were assisting sorting out UK Parliament.

As a french guy I admire her a lot. She lived a truly amazing life and her sense of duty is one for the ages. She almost seemed immortal to me in a sense. May she rest in peace and God save the Queen. :emoji_crown:
That's how many here in the UK feel,I've we would have her forever. They really don't make them like that anymore.

Our Queen will be missed. She had inner strength and led her people and all the countries of the commonwealth nations by example. She was also a kind and empathetic person her beautiful energy influenced so many leaders in society. She was a role model to all. Thank you ma'am.
RIP Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.
Elizabeth The Great.

I’m sure there are many people in the world who are don’t know/support/understand the Royal Family here in the UK, but this afternoon she passed away at the grand old age of 96.

I am sad about this as she has relentlessly served our country as the longest ever reigning monarch we have had.

Thank you, and RIP Ma‘am ♥️

Thank you for posting this Wine. If you don't mind I'm going to pin this and make it our official tribute to the Queen thread.

One Request.... If you don't like the Queen or the Monarchy that is perfectly fine. Please keep your thoughts to yourself or find another site to share them on. This thread is a positive and loving thread for Queen Elizabeth II. Please respect that.
I miss her rest well Queen

May she rest in peace!

I think it is important to remember she was not perfect as no human is.

I believe she worked tirelessly to be the best possible public servant to her subjects.

I think she was the epitome of class and grace. A calming influence IMO.

Even when faced with all the trials and tribulations of her family's dynamic.

And that to me will always be her legacy.

I wish King Charles the best.

He's got some big shoes to fill...

The various commentators have been saying the last 24 hours have been surreal - and boy are they right.
I think now the reality has sunk in.
For almost all of my life there has been a continuity. I celebrated her wedding, we watched her coronation and greeted the birth of her children.
As long as when she was about she gave that smile then all was well in the world and well with her. It was a smile I for one will miss.
And the ceremonial firing of guns across the country and elsewhere did have a finality.
It was as King Charles and Queen Camilla got into the official car that the final acceptance of the death of the late Queen was finally accepted - King Charles was in a car flying the Royal Standard
After being greeted by crowds, and walking along the tributes the last image of the two of them going into Buckingham Palace, two figures, all alone walking towards a doorway was so significant.
They were walking to a new future, we will be with them.
It is now time for the tears to stop and to gather the memories of a monarch well-loved who will, all the same, be sorely missed but never forgotten.
