Does anyone have any theories about what was supposed to be happening in this scene? Did the doctor become as uncomfortable as he did simply because Dahmer sprang a woody in front of him? Surely most medical doctors wouldn't think much of that, realizing it's a normal physiological reaction to being touched, even several decades ago. It was a weird way to play that scene.

Thanks! I've seen the movie, but have always been confused about why the doctor reacted so awkwardly. I wouldn't think a simple hardon would have caused such a reaction in the average doctor. Unless the doctor was a raging homophobe who knows little about hormones and the male reproductive system.
