Ryan Guzman

I don’t know how you could have thought that because Ryan has been saying Eddie is straight interviews.
well then 911 is literally missing out the one thing the fans want...... without buddie the show is nothing
i dont watch for anyone else and it just feels cruel to keep teasing us with no canon romance between the two

none of the other characters have anywhere near the chemistry buddie has........... i mean ryan tries to inject gay into everything he does. this is the one time its warranted and why would they ignore that when so many fans have been waiting

I only watch the show for Ryan. So I understand how you feel.

I agree none of the couples have chemistry but the Lesbian couple. The other couples are forced.

Not to be too conspiracy theory brained but if they were going to have Eddie come out later in the season, Ryan probably wouldn't spoil it in interviews until it happened.

True. But I just don’t see it happening. I would love for Eddie to be Bi. But I honestly don’t see it happening on the show.

I tend to agree, but if Eddie also came out as bi or gay or even pan and started a relationship with Buck it would provide the writers with more story angles like getting Christopher back home because he loves Buck (though I realize the actor portraying Christopher lives out of state and that's why he's not on the show these days). It would be fun to see Buck be a parent. Plus it gives the writers more story options like if something went south in the relationship (not that either Eddie or Buck needs any more drama in their relationships) or one of them gets seriously hurt (again, neither need more injuries). Anyway, just saying the writers could have a fun writing Buddie because of all the possibilities it opens up. But for now they're depriving themselves (and us!) of that joy.

If this was the case he would word his answers differently, but the way he's been talking in interviews seems like he really doesn't wanna go the queer route. Even after this last episode after Tommy and Buck broke up, he made a point of saying they're brothers, and he just wants to showcase a strong friendship between a straight man and a queer man, and that sexuality shouldn't change how you view people, etc.
It's just not gonna happen.

Truly, he has spent this year reiterating in interviews that Eddie is straight and that he rather have the storyline of a straight man and bisexual man maintain a close friendship without changing due to one realizing their queer. Since Tim came back as showrunner they've cut back on publicly supporting "buddie".

tragic if theres no buddie i dont think i wanna waste my time lmao
the only thing keeping me interested was their chemistry

I mean, there's always fanfiction lol
But at this point only delusional shippers who have reached doomsday cult level of attachment still believe they're gonna happens.

Okay and he and Oliver have also said this year in a round about way that they would be down for it. They say something different every interview. I don’t know why people take everything they say at face value.

They've been saying that since Ryan got on the show all those years ago lmao
If there was really a desire to go there from both actors and writers, they would've done that last season already, since Fox was the one vetoing queer arcs for both while ABC greenlit at least one
And we know Eddie/Tommy was considered at first but it "fell through", most likely because of Ryan not wanting to do it

Also, we're almost at the midseason finale and there's been no significant movement from Eddie to reconcile with Christopher and bring him back, they'll most likely leave that for the second part of the season next year. There's just no time to throw in a coming out arc.
