Hi, if anyone can help figure this stuff out sooner rather than later i’d really appreciate it.

So i’m looking to have sex with someone/people.

I know a small amount of knowledge regarding sti/std’s from what i was told the last time i was tested was that a clean person wouldn’t be able to transfer anything to another clean person (unless they were lying ofc) but aside from condoms, what else can i do to protect myself from any infections or diseases?

Don't go having sex with just anybody and everybody. Use common sense.

There's no such thing as 100% risk free sex. Even oral sex or kissing can have some type of risk. You just have to accept that and decide whether or not such a risk is worth it to you.

In addition to things like condoms, there are also vaccines available for some STIs. But the only 100% for sure effective option is abstinence.

More information can be found at:

My partner and I get tested regularly. So insist on having someone who you will be having sexual activity with has been tested recently.

Yes, even if you’re monogamous you should be getting tested...

All of the above advice is good. I'm a straight male and used condoms for intercourse at all times, unless it was a committed relationship and we both were sure we were disease free. I didn't use condoms or dental dams for oral sex, and fortunately never caught anything that way.

I've had sex with some sexually liberated women, who had multiple partners, so I always used condoms as I obviously had no idea who they were or what their status was. One FWB was not always great about having guys use condoms with her, so I protected myself by always using condoms with her.
