Thats a fair criticism. I'll correct/clarify my statement that he hasn't come out and supported or detracted from hot button political topics such as e.g. lgbt+ stuff, aboriginal, refugees or australia day. Admittingly i can't say I've seen everything hes put out so I could 100% be wrong here but judging from what i have seen/can remember thats whats obvious to me.
Hes definitely done soft advertisement/promotion of liberal politicians with photoshoots and reels/interviews. How much of that is him actively choosing to or his PR agency telling him to do them idk though.
I haven't seen the Scott Morrison podcast but 100% do agree that it is probably the most blatent and obvious showing of liberal support. Honestly it does make you wonder though as to how he even landed that interview. Like hes got a decent following social media wise but Sam isn't exactly a household name or australian sports famous on the same level as people like Lleyton Hewitt or Ian Thorpe or any popular AFL/NRL players.
