Sam Fricker

In his podcast video with his friend Hamish they both were laughing about an incident where one of Hamish's nuts fell out of the speedo pouch during a practice session. I imagine that whilst funny, all of the guys there that day learnt that lesson to buy slightly tighter in the front speedos
where are those nuts?!! should be having those nuts for breakfast!!!

His TV/hosting career is assured regardless, unlike some other folks in the sport.

Hasn't he made it before or am I crazy?
I am sad for him. The way he promotes himself and the number of dives we've seen from him over the last year, I would have thought he was world class. Did he make a major mistake or is he just not as good as the other Aussie divers (w/ less social media presence)?
He is world class. He was part of the 2020 Olympic diving team. These things happen, especially when your competition is also world class.

To be fair to Sam, Cassiel has beaten him before and seemingly doesn't have the same injuries or media commitments takijg up his time like Sam does.

Given that Sam got third place it kinda sucks he wasn't also given a team position. A slight silver lining is that he'll have more time to focus on his commonwealth games practice and entry slot as well as work on the feedback the judges would have given to him. Plus he'll be able to enter into other competitions that the Aussie Olympians won't be able to due to their own time requirements. From memory of the last Olympics Sam had to do a lot of globe trotting to make his Australian team commitments whilst also trying to compete in some diving comps.
