Sam Fricker

Like I get being peeved when the criticism is that you're only interviewing right wingers rather than all sides when the reality is he has also interviewed independent and labor people too.

But you gotta admit that the perception could be seen as being weighted more conservatively leaning after two interviews with party leaders (Dutton and Clive Palmer) compared to like only the Labor environment minister.

My Personal opinion is he shoulda just been like "hey I've tried to interview the PM but he's obviously too busy to jump on a podcast, happy to interview people from all sides of politics" and just left it there.

Sharing news paper articles defending you, just comes across as like "seee this newspaper agrees with me".

It's the same tapdance all right-leaning podbros do. "I'm just asking questions and hearing opinions! What's wrong with hearing all sides?" And then he whines about it. Again, just smile and put on this string bikini.

Agree.

Like cudos to him, its great he wants to do something other than diving. Especially with all ghe injuries hes acrued and will continue to acrue. But you need a thicker skin if you're wanting to podcast/interview political people.

When Sam was interviewing friends and business people etc noone had much of any issue case it wasn't divisive.

He needs new speedos to show off hahah

Ngl lowkey suprised with how quiet Sams been on Insta/tiktok today. Assumed he'd be posting"Remember to vote and stuff etc" reels or story's today.

In better news he's returned to the diving board after his recent flare up of back issues

Hopefully that means brand new diving and speedo content

Has he commented on the results of the Australian election yet?

Not that I know of.

The most I saw like 30mins after I posted my comment was him posting a tiktok about going down to vote.

I'd imagine that he'll stick away from commenting either way on the election results and probably try and get interviews lined up with the most prevalent winners and losers to get their opinions etc.

That would be the best way (imo) to capitalize on the interest drawn to him as a result of the election and the commentary surrounding his podcast interviews thus far

I don't understand why people try and tear him down. There is nothing wrong with the way he talks. Yes, there are some words that sound slightly off but that is due to his having braces and having to re-learn how to pronounce the words. So, just leave him alone.

He's way cute in every way! His Australian accent works just fine with his slight lisp.

As some one who went through free public school provided speech therapy as a kid (4-6years old) Personally his lisp can be a little "ugh" at times as his parents are a school teacher and a property developer. You just know that the property developer has definitely benefitted from the Australian economy of the last 2-3 decades unless they went against EVERY financial sense in their body and could probs afford to put his kid through uber speech therapy along with his private education costs (remember Sam is a private school kid (For Americans - I think thats like your private Charter Schools?)).

That said, people shouldn't tease or attack him based off of his voice/lisp. Nor should they attack him over ANYTHING that isn't a literal crime.

He is his own adult person. His views and opinions (whatever they are) are his own, and are just as protected as any other Australians under the law. Weas fans can raise disputes and issues with him via platforms such as tiktok and Insta and try to educate him to other points of view. But ultimately its on him to decide how and why he thinks.

I say all of this as teasing him because of his speech reeks of political lashback. The goal should be to show him that "the other side" to the liberals he 90% defs voted for the better/different choice. For society and for him.
