He joked about raping someone... Whether you're a fan or not a suspension is in no way a "harsh" punishment for that.

I blame this toxic cancel culture on twitter. The Sasha Banks stans we’re coming at his throat for saying something stupid four years ago. The cancel culture is bullying I feel bad for Sammy the most he issued two apologizes and he seem sincere about it. AEW was indeed harsh they didn’t even exist in 2016 lol.

I think it's funny how many people on this website can condemn someone for making a terrible joke whilst begging someone else to share leaked nudes. Some pretty weird morals on this site.

As DX2069 said, no one is squeeky clean. But people need to stop this cancel culture and saying "so he's done now". Sammy's still young and has a great career ahead of him, once he's served his suspension.

Remember the last time political correctnes bullies (then it was the american family association) tried to ruin wrestling? Vince parodied the h*ll out of them with 'right to censor'. That's what we need right now. Get a group of underused talent together, call them 'cancel culture' or something and have hem come out and interrupt matches to give sensitivity training, scold audience memebers for manspreading, attack officials because refereeing is mansplaining ... the heat they would get would be out of this world. But that would be fun, and we can't have that anymore.

Him being suspended is FAIR considering the circumstances. If he didn't want this to come back and bite him in the ass then he maybe shouldn't have said it on a universally streamed podcast?

Joking about sexual assault is obviously a terrible, trashy thing to do but truth of the matter is, everyone is guilty of something. Everybody has made a bad comment regarding race, class, sexual orientation, etc whether it was a joke or not. The thing with Sammy and other "famous" people is what they say and do is out there and never goes away. Things people said and did on the Internet in 2010 was fine and is now considered problematic. It doesn't make it right, but it's not fair to take something from years ago and using it on someone because it fits what's being discussed now. It's hypocritical in a way because if we had our comments or whatever from years ago suddenly come up and be used against us, would we feel the same way?
