I really don't think it's a matter of them not checking, but it's possible they either lost the documents or it was on hard drive that was damaged or something like that. There's definitely a reason a specific segment of movies were removed and it's likely not as sinister as we might think. But at the end of the day, it's just another example of Mindgeek willfully destroying the crown jewel of 21st century amateur porn.

I'm sure you're right. The records had to have existed at one time. My SC vids have the required 2257 notice at the beginning, but if there's no longer the documentation to back it up, well, ... Jordan, Jeffrey & Raymond: Bareback was one of the hottest scenes SC ever did. Poof. It's gone from the site. The entire Jeffrey catalogue is gone, except for his debut solo. He's a model it took me awhile to warm up to, and now he's one of my favorites.

In the case of SC, Sean would be the one who had all that information on file and Mindgeek didn't care to properly store that info when they bought the site.
Likely means most of the scenes deleted are gone and never coming back.
It sucks.

It could also be that the standards for proper documentation have changed. I have seen videos where the model for a regular solo jerk scene holds up his ID while saying his name, age, current date and other info and that he consents and is informed etc. That felt VERY much invasion of privacy to be released to the public like that so I assumed it was a failed editing but.. I can absolutly see that it is something they now must have to show if there is ever a dispute about consent, age etc.
