That being said the deleted videos thing seems to be a trend across any video owned or hosted by Mindgeek. I hope the Pornhub fiasco didn't cause it.

What is the Pornhub fiasco?

They've inadvertently hosted a shitload of videos of underage persons as well as persons who did not consent. They've long been slow with the takedowns. And they've been getting some heat over it. Allegedly that's what's behind all the SC back catalog being pulled. Apparently they've not got all the documentation in order as they should (proof of models age, consent).

99% of the pre-2015 SC catalog vanished overnight, about a week or two after Nicholas Kristof launched his jihad against Pornhub with a NYTimes editorial in December 2020. I'd say there's a 99% chance they're related.

I believe it was another NYTimes editorial of his that also eventually brought down the singles section of Craigslist.

Mercifully, he recently retired from writing, but unfortunately it was to go into politics.
