Sean cody

not sure that really has much to do with anything. Plenty of old scenes with gay/bi models still felt "different" from this current iteration of SC? They were still just better overall IDK what it is exactly. The classic scenes were simply just better directed, framed etc. I don't think sexuality has anything to do with it.
Could it be that the overall quality was less staged, and thus seemed more spontaneous/tangible/relatable?
I haven’t seen SC in years but if the clip on the previous page is exemplary of their current work, I can understand why it would not be for everyone.
It’s much like today’s music: overproduced/pitch-corrected. The scenes are perfectly lit, angles well-thought-out, even cumshots orchestrated to look as real (but excessive) as possible.

A lot of it has to do with the lighting and camera work. The lighting in previous episodes was much more natural, and the camera was way more intimate. The sex positions felt less presentational as well.

Kieran and Shamu are hot dudes, but I felt like we were so far away from them, and the artifice of the scene undercut the eroticism for me. An intimate scene on a couch or a bed with more grounded camera work is what Sean Cody used to do best.

That’s a highly accurate descriptive: “presentational”

I think both of you are touching on various aspects of the problem that I had trouble putting into words. Much appreciated and good analyses.

In my estimation current SC just feels far too clinical and sterile compared to the "good old days". It doesn't feel spontaneous or raunchy anymore. They're going thru the motions.

It's a combination of several factors. Even though now people just want to complain about the current roster of models as if that's the only issue here. Wrong.

You could bring back some classic models from the past... transplant them into a "modern SC era" scene and something would still feel off.

I wish Doug stayed around for another video of him bottoming. I like the Keith x Doug pairing but they weren't really the main focus of the scene :(

Jake x Doug would've been hot too but Doug wouldn't have been able to take him.
If you watch the BTS of the Hawaii Orgy, you can see Doug prepping to bottom w/ Jake. It’s not a full scene but they tried ‍
