I'm right there with you. The scene where he got tag teamed was really hot for new Sean Cody standards.
Could it be that the overall quality was less staged, and thus seemed more spontaneous/tangible/relatable?
I haven’t seen SC in years but if the clip on the previous page is exemplary of their current work, I can understand why it would not be for everyone.
It’s much like today’s music: overproduced/pitch-corrected. The scenes are perfectly lit, angles well-thought-out, even cumshots orchestrated to look as real (but excessive) as possible.

A lot of it has to do with the lighting and camera work. The lighting in previous episodes was much more natural, and the camera was way more intimate. The sex positions felt less presentational as well.
Kieran and Shamu are hot dudes, but I felt like we were so far away from them, and the artifice of the scene undercut the eroticism for me. An intimate scene on a couch or a bed with more grounded camera work is what Sean Cody used to do best.

In my estimation current SC just feels far too clinical and sterile compared to the "good old days". It doesn't feel spontaneous or raunchy anymore. They're going thru the motions.
It's a combination of several factors. Even though now people just want to complain about the current roster of models as if that's the only issue here. Wrong.
You could bring back some classic models from the past... transplant them into a "modern SC era" scene and something would still feel off.
