It's total B.S. Alice hasn't done shit. There are certainly asshole fans of the show, but they are an extreme minority. There is no evidence that anyone involved in the show, including the creator, pushes for or wants this idiotic drama.

Social media sucks. X sucks. Stop using it. These controversies and outrages should not exist, period. They do nothing but cause harm, and the people propagating them are either mentally ill or have an agenda. No "problems" are being fixed by any of this, and there's no sane reason to allow oneself to get upset - except by the conflict existing in the first place, like I am.

I think Bash and Charlie seem like a good match. They both like to live their life on social media and be very out and that wasn't the case when he was with Joe, who was very private.
You had over 2 years of them hiding their relationship (although not very well) and within weeks of Charlie they're publicly referring to each other as boyfriend.
Whereas you had Bash writing songs about Joe within days of them meeting and you had Joe giving interviews where he said "I'm referred to as an openly gay actor, and you won't find any interview where I've confirmed my sexuality. People assuming who I'm dating when I'm only 18, it's disgusting"... so they were clearly in different headspaces. Plus going through that under the scrutiny of that weird audience, championed by the weird writer of the show they were on, who were constantly on the attack, especially towards Bash.

You really misconstrued what Joe said. He was talking in relation to Kit and people assuming sexualities and then said yes, he's gay. He also said it's gross for the press to speculate about a teenagers love life, which he isn't wrong about. He's out and has been out for years, he mentioned being gay in the S1 HS vlogs he just never said it in an interview. Bash mentioned being a queer actor this summer, after the breakup. The idea of Bash being out and proud and Joe being closeted (he's private true) is silly. Neither of them ever admitted to dating each other, which is why some people still say they didn't.
