I don’t know that it’s either of their first relationship, in the Vogue interview Joe and Kit did, Joe mentions basically a summer fling he had on the Isle of Man before Heartstopper, but yea the point stands. Joe also shuts down speculation about his love life in the same interview and says tabloids being so fascinated with a teenager’s love life is ”really gross and perverted”.

My impression is I don’t think he and Bash are really “hiding” per se, but they’re just living their lives and consider it their own business that they don’t owe anyone an explanation about.

I mean, certainly the media can be very invasive and ask extremely personal questions, but I don't think that "Hey, you two seem to be together a lot, are you guys dating?" falls into the category of "really gross and perverted." *shrug*
