We are talking about a tv show. We watch it for entertainment. If TV is your ENTIRE PERSONALITY then you need to go outside.
Also, Survivor has always had a diverse cast with interesting points of view. Diverse includes everyone. I want to see a super Christian model interacting with a dumb football player and an evil country Maga grandma and a psycho but hot doctor. I like that. I dont need to see a dozen 23 year old dorks trying to out-virtue signal, out-resumé and out-victim role-play each other. New era casting and production is extremely lazy and cheap. This is just a fact.
Yep. … and the gag is that in 25 years, this era of “woke” tv casting is going to be seen as extremely problematic because it reduces human beings to the most basic identity politics and stereotypes. The people in power have not changed. They are just producing a product that fits their basic notion of ‘diverse.’ I like to call it ‘virtue washing’… a version of ‘greenwashing’ but with virtue signaling
As long as the 'evil country MAGA grandma' goes pre-jury I'm fine with it lol.
We need more villains.
I'm also intrigued by a potential 'psycho but hot doctor.' Hopefully for us it is a dude.

Interestingly enough I think it came out in an interview today with Jeff with him saying he doesn’t want villains and as long as he’s in control they won’t cast villains.
Has he forgotten that one of the most popular and successful seasons of all time even to this day in 2024, came off the backs of the shows most notorious villains?

Wow that is dumb of the casting department to avoid villains.
Hopefully we get a couple tomorrow that sneak in.
I wouldn't consider myself a villain but if my 'Dark Phoenix' needs to come out it will. Probably more so behind people's back because it's just dumb to be so overt in your dislike for people. Sometimes you gotta be very fake to people.. I'd apologize after they give me the money lol.
