Guy, Shawn always does this thing.
When he was promoting his self-titled album he said he didn't like that people were more worried about his relationship status than his music, that journalists always asked if he was single, what he looks in a gf, what he thinks about the girls of each country/city he visits (he wanted to inspire young guys to make music, in the same way Mayer inspired him, for this reason he didn't like that people care more about his personal life than his art).

The interesting thing is that right after the self-titled album his career is basically reduced to his relationship - every interview he gives he talks about, every music he wrote is about her.

This guy can't sustain any word he says.

It was in one of the interviews he did for the album, he didn't say what the poster said verbatim but that was pretty much it. I remember the interviewer also called wonder and monster a flop and he was like well I got money, my dog and my girlfriend.

His career isn't in the strongest place. He's not a force of personality (be it good or bad) like Bieber who will always attract attention, he's not able to coast on sheer charisma and charm like Harry is and he's not got the tenacity and drive of someone like Ed Sheeran to keep him relevant. He's the kind of artist who lives and dies on having hits, and his last two singles and albums underperformed, so this shoot is a total PR panic move and he'll no doubt release a much more generic and radio friendly single soon.

And if that doesn't become a hit, then we'll see his bare ass in a photoshoot sometime around November
