I think i've said this before, but he's not as short as people think.
1. The short king thing is a joke, and its been around more recently, so Shayne probably just picked it up
2. He's 5'8", an inch shorter than the average height of a man. I'm pretty tall and I'm 5'9", so the top of his head would basically not go under my scalp.

Oh no i TOTALLY get it, i just love to Say he is a short king with a Big butt, and also he has said that he is "short" for a long time, also how much is 5'8 in cm?

Pretty sure he said he's 5ft 7 in a video before but still it's not THAT short

Last time I heard, he was 5'8". I know his height appears as 5'7" on Google, but they say he was even born in Florida or LA, when he's said several times he's from Phoenix. They also say Lady Gaga is 5'1", when she's 5'2.75"

So there's this thing I like to call the "Napoleon Effect", not to be confused with the Napoleon Complex, which is a short guy trying to make up for his height.

What I call the “Napoleon Effect” is where a person’s height is perceived inaccurately due to three factors. Let's use the namesake, Napoleon Bonaparte, for the example using the three factors:
1. Misinformation: In Napoleon's time, the French foot during was longer than the English foot, leading to confusion when converting measurements. Napoleon was 5'2" in French feet, which is 5'7" in English feet. This is actually average height for men in his day, basically OUR 5'9".
2. Propaganda: His enemies tended to portray him as short and temperamental as a way to discredit him. Look at cartoon portrayals of him during his lifetime and conquests.
3. Perception: Napoleon himself didn't help with the misconceptions. In an effort to make his army more intimidating, he strategically selected and positioned himself amongst tall soldiers.

Now, let's see how Shayne stacks up:
1. Misinformation: As I said before, according to Google, Shayne's height is listed as 5’7". However, and this is just me, the last time I heard him mention his height, he was 5’8", which is only an inch shorter than the current average male height. And again, Google cannot make up its mind when it comes to his birth state or the heights of other people like Lady Gaga. Additionally, potential translation errors could occur due to the global accessibility of the internet and the varying measurement systems used in different countries.
2. Propaganda: Obviously, there's NO propaganda towards Shayne about his height. However, he, and many other Smosh members, credit him as a short king, and rather than knowing the "lore" of Mr. Topp, people will simply go with that.
3. Perception: Again, Shayne credits himself a short king, albeit jokingly. However, he also tends to surround himself, unintentionally, with tall guys: Anthony and Damien are 5'11", Tommy is 6'1", Rhett is 6'7", Josh and Link are 6'0", and there's also Trevor, but I cannot find his height, but dude looks fucking huge. The only Smosh cast members that match his height are Chanse and Ian. Spencer is shorter, being 5'6". IDK Garret's height, but he looks average too.

Conclusion: Dude's average height, but dat ass is huge!!!
