Soccer players..

I wonder which ones are gay? I know a lot will be at least bisexual.
There's was once this statement by Antoine Griezmann that he knew a lot of gay football players in La Liga, but they were afraid of coming out because either they were afraid of losing partnerships or losing popularity. There were also reports that I read in an LGBT online journal in Spanish that some of them were on the verge of doing a massive coming out in 2017-18, but were thwarted by the sponsors o_O:oops::(

Yeah, barely. The Psycho actor who was gay and couldn't tell. Anyways, I concluded with a friend the only way a lot of people would have to admit being gay is through a #metoo-level scandal...

Yeah, you are right... I think that another problem is that football is mostly spread in quite homophobic countries. Like Italy, England or Spain. If in their places there were Australia, USA or Norway, there would be less problems

Except all the homosexuality obsessed, hate mongering evangelicals, who's leaders profit off of spread hate against homo-/bisexuals. Any professional athlete who came out, specially if it's after they became famous, would have to deal with holly hell harassment and most likely even death threats.
That being said, I think there is a massive "thou doth protest too much" factor going on with many evangelicals, specially amongst their leadership.

If the hate obsessed right-wing nut jobs don't get in the way.
In parts of the USA, when/if an orchestra performs Carl Orff's Carmina Burana - O Fortuna there are protests (note this video has comments turned off), luckily not even close to the scale of BLM protests, but it's 2021 (protests pre-2020 no major concerts during COVID).

Everton: Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies. Arsenal: Bukayo Saka. Tottenham: Serge Aurier. Chelsea: Toni Ruediger, Kurt Zouma
I reckon you could be onto something about Dominic Calvert Lewin, i’ve always thought Seamus Coleman was gay simply because he doesn’t like exposing his body and barely ever takes his shirt off, but he has a wife unfortunately. I think Mason Mount is bisexual for sure, he’s got that really cute closeted guy that’s up for anything vibe about him, other guesses of mine would be Zinchenko (Man City) & Wayne Hennessy

I live in Australia and is generally very accepting of LGBT people, i won’t consider it homophobic at all in the cities, it’s just out in the country you get some very backward religious people. Norway and scandinavia is meant to be the most supportive countries of LGBT. i think of homophobic countries as all the african and middle eastern countries (minus jordan & israel)
