The issue with this perspective is that “straight” still has a ton of privilege when it comes to men aka like half of the dudes who post in thread and/or spend money on his OF would not be doing so if he were “gay presenting”. One of the reasons so many guys still lean on being “straight presenting” or “DL” is because there’s still a lot of social, ego, financial collateral and protection in doing so. Until that privilege and protection dissipates it’ll remain a point of contention.

I been stopped taking identities that seriously. A lot of “labels” is about sociology. It’s especially important not to take sex workers that seriously. While everyone has their own dimensions, journeys, insecurities, preferences, experiences with fluidity, place in the gender, sexual, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. However, we’re not about to ignore the privilege there is still in being “straight”/“straight-ish” presenting.
