A Stag party was an early UK name for a Bachelors party . In the US I think it also just referenced a gathering of men, without the presence of women . I'm old, but too young to have participated in the 'stag parties' of anything before the 1970s. However a co-worker back in the early 1980s found some old 8mm black and white stag films (porn) and had a bunch of us over one weekend night after work. It was a coed group, and we all watched and mades comments out of the curiosity of the whole thing. There was no masturbation and no sexual contact between the men and women at the party.
