What are you implying? There are certainly plenty of religious gymnasts who are definitely not "gay friendly". Very few male gymnasts are even openly gay, the environment is far from lgbt friendly tbh. Most of these male college gymnasts are typical meatheads just like football players and basketball players, and that's not even getting into the politics.

Good for Stephen for at least appearing on the show and whatnot, but it wasn't a given he would be supportive of anything.
