Same thing goes for basically everyone on social media... Porn stars are not the only ones thinking they're epidemiologists, and they're entitled to their opinions just like the basic commoner.
One of the many reasons the social media rise is such a catastrophe is that people can't tell the difference anymore between a performer and their work. Someone can be the biggest idiot or douche in real life, it doesn't mean they can't be genuinely good performers or artists and can't be appreciated for that. Looking for role models in porn stars is honestly quite stupid. They're entertainers and what should be expected of them should just be to entertain, their opinions on politics and stuff are completely irrelevant.
i don’t think that anyone is looking up to any of these people as role models, or at least I hope not. No one said they can’t be bat shit crazy but still make good porn. You’re also not wrong in the sense that it’s basically just like anyone else posting misinformation, unfortunately they have a larger audience they’re reaching with said information. Personally I think it’s stupid for them to promote that kind of misinformation on basically what I would call for them their professional or business social media. I’m sure they have their own personal accounts they can do that on, I’m not sure why said few seem to flood their porn star persona Twitter feed with political conspiracy theories than promoting their work, but their loss of business is their concern not mine.
