I understand your frustration, but I think it’s important to separate his actions from his public support for the executive order. While I can’t speak to his personal motivations, it’s possible he views transgender women as women within the binary framework of male and female. I agree that respect for transgender individuals is important, but recognizing biological sex and respecting identity can coexist. Just because someone aligns with this post in particular doesn’t automatically mean they intend to harm or disrespect the LGBTQIA community. I see his actions as complex rather than outright hypocritical.
