Jackson and McKay don't give me Trumpist vibes, even though they're friends with the other 3 and also straight white mormon guys. I hope they aren't. McKay is my favorite and it would be such a let down to learn he's one of them. Also glad to see I was somewhat right about Cannon all along. He never passed the vibe check for me and I never understood why he's considered the hottest in this thread. He's weird lol
Tbh, I unfollowed them when Cannon had his sus pouting episode over Renly and Loras scenes in GoT, but stayed on this thread to see how long it would be before things fell apart (I knew it was a matter of time). I don’t even think there’s a pref for him on this thread. Prob just a few vocal fans with a pattern of choosing dudes giving off red flags and douchey undercurrents. McKay and Jackson remain the chillest of the group though my faith in anyone in a hyperreligious conformist culture resisting herd mentality is low.
Cannon and Carter had an argument in one of the GoT episodes. It's where Cannon doesn't get why Ygritte shoots Jon while Carter totally gets it considering she's a wilding. Brig sided with Cannon while McKay sided with Carter. The argument went on for a while then Cannon eventually loses his temper and tells everyone that he didn't know Carter is a wildling too. I thought that was a bit stubborn and narrow-minded.
I must admit that I find his mild aggression kinda hot but then I am pulled back to reality knowing that's a huge red flag.
Jackson is the best dude by far. He's cute, he's chill and he's smart. During one of the old house of the dragon ep react, Carter and Cannon was talking about how "ridiculous" it was that Laenor and Rhaenyra couldn't have just one kid. Jackson was saying that Laenor, being gay, just couldn't do it with Rhaenyra, but those 2 hardcore straight frat boys just didn't want to believe it and would rather call him infertile. It's like they don't believe that gay people are real. Huge red flag. Carter is still cute tho, but Cannon is just an eye sore at this point.
The fact that Cannon has watched The Boys and not seeing irony as a MAGA conservative is so funny

if it makes you feel better, Cannon is clearly closeted & gay, you'll notice it during nudity in GoTs reactions. So I give him a pass b/c he's mormon in the closet.
