Survivor Winners At War

I really liked Michelle this season. She reminded me of Dani Donato the second time she played Big Brother. She really wanted to PLAY, but everyone else in the house just wanted to do what Jeff & Jordan said and there was literally nothing she could do about it.
I hated Jeff and Jordan since their first season. I can't believe America adored them. Jeff was arrogant, entitled, overrated and a bully. Yet he wins America's Favorite twice because I don't even know why.

Rigged or not, I don't understand why they never played hard. I mean, the likes of Nick, Kim, Jeremy and Denise were all talking to Tony and considering him as an ally.

It was ridiculous that in one episode some even opted to eat peanut butter instead of compete for immunity, I mean this is 2 million dollars. There was no power shift, it's like they all waited to get voted out and they handed Tony the win easily.

For the whole season, I could feel Michelle's sentiment and frustration about how they all wanted to play it safe and that it revolved around Tony’s decisions.
Kim literally tried to get him out multiple times and always got the right read, but every time she tried to do something, Tony would always be magically safe. Tony and Sarah also pregamed so hard and made deals with multiple players prior to the game, so there was really no possible way for the likes of Kim and Michelle, who came into the game to play fair and square, to find a crack within an alliance built before the show and was being protected by the powers that be.

I think it would have been wonderful if they put a twist in this season. Like have the two tribes compete head to head based on the classification of old school winners versus new school winners, or have a royal rumble of all of them in one tribal scrambling or so. I think the old school winners were put into a disadvantage since they were far more popular than any of the new school ones, and this was brought up many times. Of course, the top list of fan faves would be Sandra, Rob, Parv and Tyson, more than Ben, Tony and Sarah and Jeremy. For a fortieth season with all winners, it was so easy to see Tony win it all.

That would’ve been a nice twist! Also, similar to what they did in Cambodia, I hope in the future returning seasons the players would only get the info that they got in a day or two before they fly to the island. That way they could avoid the players forming alliances before the game.

This season was rigged for Tony to win. The pregame alliances helped Tony and Sarah move further in the game, but the producers‘ blatant manipulation and rigging of the challenges ruined the game. Haven’t you guys noticed that every time Tony was in danger, he would suspiciously win immunity? I am not a fan of Michelle and was an Aubry stan, but Michelle should’ve won this season. I mean, she made it all the way to the end without the help of producers and pregame deals with other players.
This is true, Sarah is a notorious pregamer, she had pregame deals with 80% of the GC cast which is why she won. She also spearheaded the pregame alliance to get rid of the old schoolers this season, you don’t think it’s a coincidence that all 8 of them went back to back premerge.

Err, arguably Michelle had the largest advantage with the puzzle in the third last Immunity Challenge, identical to the one she won in Kaoh Rong (and, lo and behold, she won the repeat challenge in the finale).

Rigging challenges for Tony seems like a ridiculous accusation. They've generally recycled challenges ever since staying in Fiji (8 seasons in a row) and I'd be surprised if any challenges from Cagayan (Tony's first season) were repeated this year.

Arguably the 'hold on to a pole' challenge was slanted towards Parvati (based on her previous performance in Heroes vs Villains) but she was voted out two Tribals earlier.

That is definitely not a coincidence. Once Tyson, Rob, Parvati and Sandra went back-to-back-to-back-to-back, it was obvious what was happening with the new-school players. Definitely something for the old-schoolers to be wary about in any future seasons (and the casting team, for that matter. Maybe ensure the numbers are even next time, because the old-schoolers were screwed from the start this season).

To be fair, no one cared about new school players so the old school players were always going to be intimidating. Not to mention, the terrible game play of Boston Rob where he always wants to watch out for every single move made by everyone else in the tribe. I think that is where Sandra beats him, she was a social player as much as she was always sitting out on challenges and doing nothing at camp.

I mean, for the new schoolers, they pretty much watched the Survivor Legends and this is why the likes of Michelle, Ben and Nick got to stay around longer because they weren't seen as the big threats. If all these guys were playing for the first time altogether in this season with their current game play, I doubt that Ben, Michelle, Nick, Denise would have gone that far. They were saved by the perception of being less of a threat than the old school ones.

To me that's why Sandra was so impressive... She was so cut-throat and openly went after people, yet everybody loved being around her because in camp she's such a fun, engaging presence!!

And it's probably a good argument that any future season with this theme should be divided with all the players separated. Old School vs New School, force both to cannibalize themselves rather than just pick off the old-schoolers.

It's a testament to how good Parvati/Rob are that they managed to get Natalie out before the old-school slaughter began.

Actually I think getting Natalie out is what screwed Rob/Parvati. Trusting Ben was a horrible move on their part. Natalie/Jeremy would've been great meat shields for them.

yeah I was watching interviews with Parvati and she said she should've gotten Adam out at the first tribal instead of Natalie and that getting Natalie out was a mistake for her game looking back on it.

I think regardless of the situation, Natalie will still be the least favorite unless she does a huge power move, which is come back and control the situation at the camp. With how it is in culture there, people will always lean towards those they are able to relate to. This is exactly why Michelle won her season. She wasn't a standout unlike Aubry and Tai but in the real world, Aubry and Tai aren't the regular people you will relate to (let's be honest, those two are most likely to be regarded as the "uncool" people) so that's why they never won Survivor.
