I doubt we'll ever get an underwear shoot of him, especially while he's still part of Seventeen, they got a lot of sensitive stans. Not even the most exhibitionists Idols like Wonho or Minhyuk have done it, Jungkook also had a CK campaign and there was no underwear shoot, I guess it's a hard NO NO in kpop industry (while jpop idols are out there showing their full asses to the world). Considering Korea's alarming free falling birth rate perhaps they should reconsider it and start some more intensive whoring spicy advertisements of their men.

The only "idols" I can recall to have done it were Mark Tuan and Yixing, but it's also debatable whether they were really idols or not at that point since Mark Tuan had left GOT7 previously and seemed focused on a more US career and Yixing was already established in his solo career in China (his case is the most interesting to me, China is known to be very conservative and censorious with their media but they had no problem with a huge celebrity starring an underwear campaign lol).

Omg now that you've mentioned it I remember, yep, my bad, so we have now 3 "idols" with underwear shoots in their curriculum with only one actually based in Korea lol but I would say his case is similar to Mark Tuan. He has an established solo career build on exhibiting himself lol also he's +30 as well as most of his fanbase (I guess?) so it's less scandalous or relevant, I don't think we'll get another one so soon.

Mingyu's case is very interesting imo, he seemed very shy, specially a few years ago when he was in the beginning of bulking up and not really confident or comfortable with showing his body, but something shifted around 2021/2022 when he got reaaaally buff and everyone started noticing how huge he was getting, I would say this was also the moment he started getting a looot of attention specially by twitter and non-carats (he was always popular but definitely not the most popular member of Seventeen) and eventually became the most popular member like THE STAN ATTRACTOR and the one with the most solo stans (before that Vernon was the biggest stan attractor and I would say the one with the most solo stans too)

He definitely noticed it and I believe he started enjoying it! Obviously more attention and being the most popular member also means more brand deals and more $$$ but not just that, with all the thirst traps (that video where they are in a gym and he's working out with grey sweatpants and his whole bulge is perfectly visible is craaaaazy and unforgettable) I would say he definitely enjoys the feeling of being desired 'cause there's just no way he doesn't know how hot he is and how people go feral over him. I said all of this just to give a context 'cause overall an underwear shoot of him is something really hard to predict, on one side I can see him doing it in the future when he starts focusing more on his solo career instead of the group but honestly i also wouldn't put too much faith on it because "knowing" him this seems like a hard line I don't think he's confident in crossing (thanks Korea radical conservative mindset )
