The Dark Knight

No one has talked about how Epic the Joker was.
While all of Ledger's former movies sucked (my opinion) I honestly think he deserves an Oscar.(but i dont feel sorry for him ODing)

His performance really made him appear to be psychotic down the littlest quirks.

The movie itself was also great. While it had A awesome plot the fact that it wasnt totally predictable kept (me) on the edge for most of the movie.

Sadly..The audience didnt laugh at the Jokers cruelness.
I was the only person to laugh hysterically during the Jokers "Pencil trick"

I for the life of me don't understand the big deal. Its a bat man movie and they never were all that great. The Joker has been done to death. And why it was so important to have Ledger as the Joker you can't even see that its him. They could have used anyone in that role, And for it he went off the deep end and now he is dead. My friend wants me to go with her to see it (ledger fan) and I refused, she thinks now I don't want to go with her. I am interested to see him in The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus. Just to see how they play Johnny Depp and the others who finished out his role when they rewrote it with him changing physical shape in the different alternate worlds.

Not paying 9 plus dollars to see this film, however I do believe it will break box office figures because of Ledgers death.

Batman Begins took the "batman" movies to a whole new level. They actually took this movie serious, and didn't make it so corny and cheesy like the past ones. I for one will most definitely be seeing this movie!

I liked Kilmer's Bruce Wayne...but he wasn't Batman to me...

Michael Keaton has been the only guy to do justice to both roles, in my opinion...

Keaton was alright. I mainly liked his Batman movie because it featured Kim Basinger's legs.

I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet but I'm betting that Jack Nicholson played a better Joker.

"....Hey kid.......ya ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight?..."

I was like...I don't know......young as fuck when I heard that. Was pretty creepy.

I've just finished seeing it (i'm an opening night kind of loser. :p) and it was pretty fantastic. Instant favorite. Couldn't have loved it more. Ledger was pretty great in the role. If Johnny Depp can get noms for Pirates of the Caribbean, Ledger deserves one for this.

It was great to see how the Joker created total chaos in Gotham, and i honestly could not predict what was happening next. Plus, Maggie Gylenhaal served as a decent replacement for Holmes who was honestly flat in the last one.

I really hope they don't make a third one though. It would be nice but it would be hard to top for reasons i won't go into for peeps who haven't seen it yet.

and about the "Batrasp", a part of me does find that sort of annoying, but i can see how it fits with the whole realism aspect. It would be really easy to found out the man behind the mask if he used his regular voice. Dent or Gordon would've probably have found him out. The rasp was distracting, but needed. Bale sounded totally unrecognizable.

and with Dent, Eckhart was good in the role. Hell, i even forgot about the whole villainous aspect while watching him as the "White Knight" of Gotham.

geez, i'm rambling on, but i really enjoyed the movie...

I cant believe there is talk of giving Heath Ledger an oscar. I dont see any real point in giving living actors awards to be honest let alone dead ones! What use is it to him now? Just more publicity for the film. Pointless sentimental bullshit.

Uh..Why do they give student awards for being the top in their class?
If he was alive he still deserves an award. When a performance is that great in a movie the actor deserves credit for it.
Acting obviously is not an easy job otherwise everyone would be doing it.

Comparing Ledgers previous movies to Dark Knight, I wouldnt have known it was the same person if i didnt see in in text.

This afternoon, I went to see THE DARK KNIGHT at the movies at 2:30 PM. There was a lot of story and plot twists in the movie like there was in SPIDERMAN 3. I liked the movie alot.

Heath Ledger did an outstanding job. I think that Christian Bale overdid the gravelous growl voice.

Academy awards have always been about promoting the business. Of course they don't sell it that way. They sell it like patriotism or sports allegiances. People do want to buy into sentimental engagement. That's why they are called fans. (fanatics? or fan the flames higher?) And enhancing sales is hardly pointless to the industry.

66.4 million dollars on the first day. Beats out SpiderMan3 for top first day take. Thats got to be like 7.3 million people. I bet this does close to 200 million the first weekend.

First of all Spiderman 3 sucked. I went on opening day because this one had "venom" in it and he is one of my favorite villians from when I was younger. "He" was only in it for like 5 minutes. And it was a dry story line. I wasted like 25 bucks for that trash. [/end rant]

Christian Bale kicked ass in American Psycho for those that have seen it. But I wanna see another Punisher movie made. Maybe I sound like a geek but I'm a sucker for nostalgia. Like Swat Cats or Johnny Quest or the original Space Ghost or The Jetsons or Pinky And The Brain......Superman is a bitch............
