I so love your donuts. Why can't they invent tyres that leave those colours on the road :) :)?

My staff thinks my willpower is legendary when they bring in a box of assorted donuts and I gracefully decline their invitation.

But they've never seen me in New Orleans! There is no way in the world I can go to the French Quarter and not partake! Every. Single. Time.

How were those Beignets? I finally tried them for the first time at

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney

and they were great. Of course you got them at the source ( originated).

You know, Cafe du Monde has become such a tourist spot that you have to be pretty bulldog to get a table.

I've found them just as good in City Park at Morning Call. I know it was shut down for a while, but I heard it's open again. Next time I'm there I'll try them and let you know!

New Orlean's beignets are great, but just don't wear black.

I came across Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter while wondering around. Had the coffee and the beignets and there must have been a half pound of powdered sugar on top! Yum, but messy!

One piece of advice if you're going to have beignets anywhere in that city: don't wear black!

My husband and I were sitting at a patio table at Morning Call once, and he had black slacks. As we were going into the museum later I asked him where he got his mini polka dotted pants! That's exactly what it looked like!

And don't think you can just wipe it off! It smears! You need a wet cloth.

We did not go into the museum. We went back to the hotel so he could change.
