After his execution the Bolsheviks noted that the murdered Tsar had a very athletic body with very firm buttocks:emoji_crown:
and considering this was statement made by even people who resented him, a testament of how his charm and hotness transcend beyond his mortal reality. Czar Nicholas II was a beautiful man, inside anf outside. May his soul be blessed!

And out? Not to derail this thread. But Czar Nicholas was a dictator and horrible to his people, so much that it inspired an uprising/revolution. Hell his own cousin King George was afraid if he rescued and brought his family to England he would lose his crown lol.

Good looking guy, but that doesn't erase the horrors and his incompetence as a leader, which ended with his family being murdered.

Now back to the thread :)

I'm sending you that Greta Thunberg's "how dare you" stare from afar.

Governing Russia at the turn of century where a multi-ethnic/multi-confessional imperium twice the size of the current Russian Federation is catching up with industrial revolution and experiencing rise of bourgeouisie and demographic explosion in countryside, not to mention the force majeur happening outside the border such as the ascent of Japan and declaration of war from Austria-Hungary double monarchy against the orthodox Serbia ... all that will scare the hell out of even the most adept politician of any time.

Handsome Nicky was unfortunately not as gifted intellectually as in the case with his physique. Nor did he receive sufficient proper training to act as an able autocratic ruler. But he did make up for his imperfection with his conscientious personality, deep faith, and sense of duty. He was never hungry of power, he never wanted to be a tzar but he selflessly complied to his predestination and bear the burden of the crown that weighted so heavily on his shoulder. Despite immense wealth, Nicky was brought up to live modestly and taught the virtue of simplicty to his own children. What is perceived as tyrannical can be perfectly understood and is congruent with his meek and goodhearted nature through the lense of his orthodox faith. The oath of coronation of a Tzar states that is the duty of a Tzar to preserve the form of government inherited and to pass it to the successor as such and he did exactly that not out of self-interest but in the belief of fulfilling God's will (as is evidenced by his resigned acceptance of humiliation and torture he had to endure during his final days of life).

His cousin was afraid of granting him asylum not because that he is a bad person, but because the Tsar couple never make effort to dispel bad rumours slandering their reputation and instead lived in seclusion and bear all the false accusations in silence following the example of Christ when He was turned to roman authority by His own people.

Last but not least, conscience may lead to false actions, but comparing that to the horror that befall Soviet Russia, Cambodia under Khmer Rouge, North Korea, China during cultural revolution, etc where human are reduced to economic unit in contrast to the christian conception of humanity, and where bloody oppression are done remorselessly (and intentionally!) out of self-interest, the smear campaign done by Soviet to tarnish Nicky simply does not hold water.

God Save the Tsar:heart:
May he pray for us so that we are able to move beyond mere admiration of his beautiful physique, but to also admire his noble character.
May he also intercede for me and ask God's forgiveness for my innumerous lustful thought and uncontrollable desire of his once immaculate flesh.

God save Saint Tsar Nicholas II, Holy Royal Martyr

To think what they did to his naked body after the execution and one drunken Red soldier even fingered the Tsarina!!!

are you referring to the two assistants of Peter Ermakov? Pray that those beasts have been given the chance to repent before they rot or otherwise they might be now having not only their fingers, but their whole soul burning in the deepest abyss of hell.

Nicholas had to stay in bed during his captivity in Ekaterinburg, just one month before his death, due to hemorrhoidal pain. He wrote about his hemorrhoid in his diary.

Dr. Botkin is said to always stay close to him during this period and caringly and devotedly applied compress to Nicky's rear. Imagine what a privilege it was! If offered the chance, I'd gladly swapped my place with Dr. Botkin and died alongside him just to be able to compress his ailing swollen orifice during his final days.

Bottom line the guy was a terrible leader and a dictator. There are many versions on why King George didn't bring him and his family over, but at the end of the day it was due to the Czar himself and his leadership in Russia. The King wasn't going to risk losing his crown or drawing the err of his people.

He deserves no sympathy or admiration. Good looking, but that's about it.
Not my cup of tea, but I do find his stockier, blue-eyed father attractive.
That's not his father, but brother.

dude, this guy did his best for his country with all his limitation, accepted unbelievable humiliation and abuse as part of God's will (e.g. ordered to stay in a confined space without window and running water, having his meal snatched by the guards while he was about to eat it, and got hit intentionally at chin while being scoffed at, being followed whenever he needed to go to the toilet, etc) yet he never write anything vulgar about his torturer in his diary (other than calling him at most "Mr. Lobster Eye"). It was never his freewill to be born a tzar, he never wanted to be one, but assumed the duty anyway out of his faith. If that is not the epitome of selflessness I don't know what it is. That he was a good looking guy till his very end, only intensify the feel of loss.
