I think Dean was mostly just an opportunist....he would have fucked a drain pipe if he thought it could further his career (MANY sources say this).

This reminds me, Quincy Jones said in an interview in New York Magazine that Marlon Brando "would have fucked a mailbox".

Jones also said if you did enough cocaine "you'd fuck a radiator and send it flowers in the morning".

There were a lot of inanimate objects being fucked in Hollywood.
