A relationship between Kylie and Timothee is mutually beneficial. Keeps both names in the headlines. Although you know celebrity culture is on its last legs when this barely makes news. In 2005 this would’ve been on every headline. Now you just hear from usual celeb tabloids.
I mean, Timothee does not need to keep his name in the headlines. Especially not for his dating life. I’ll keep banging this drum: this is two hot young people banging because they’re young and hot. It’s not a planned PR move, and I doubt it’s gonna be a serious relationship either.
I’m not saying it’s 100% planned PR move but knowing how Hollywood works I wouldn’t completely rule it out. There are tons of fake relationships in Hollywood between movie stars. Stars want to keep their names in the headline so their team puts out a rumor in the presses or goes out with another famous for a little lunch date to keep people speculating. This is an old Hollywood tactic. It’s naive not to be cynical.
Yes, but that generally depends on what type of celebrity you are, and what type of celebrity you want to be. Reality stars, minor celebrities, or those who are primarily known only for their looks tend to want to keep their names in the headlines because it’s what maintains their fame. When you’re a highly sought after actor who is landing project after project with the best directors in Hollywood, there is no need to maintain a tabloid presence through orchestrated PR relationships. It’s not impossible, of course, but it just doesn’t seem like something he needs to do, or even would do on purpose. He’s famous enough now that the paparazzi are always interested in what he’s doing and who he’s dating regardless
What are you talking about? The biggest celebrities in the world have done stunts like these. They are addicted to fame and want to keep seeing their names on the news/headlines. This is a big year for Timothée. He is in two big movies, Dune 2 and Wonka. He has to show he can be a box office draw especially since Bones and All his passion project flopped. He needs to keep name in the headlines so he can maintain his A list movie star status. Hollywood is frantic place, one day you can be on the top the next day on the bottom. Most Hollywood up and comers don’t last long. Timothée is thinking about the long haul here he wants to have DiCaprio level status.

Weirdly I’d compare it to someone like Henry cavil who seems for all intents a decent guy but so far removed from “drama” that he comes off dull and boring. This (Kylie rumors/relations) is good for Timmy’s career, I think, even if it’s just a performance.
